It is happenig--AGAIN!

Well that was some show last night; in fact the entire 4 day event was a display of political theatre at its best(propaganda) and worst: the future of the republic.

I could write about my experiences at the Democratic and Republican conventions of 1992. Where I saw first hand, the contrived staged performances; the managed outside agitators being kept quiet and at a distance: this was historic for the Democrats because they were notorious for the old "blood and guts in display" conventions; it was an experience which I will write about in my next blog.

Suffice it to say: last night would have made Leni Riefenstahl proud; her famed "Triumph of the Will" was remade-live and in color- for a new people starving for a "new" type of politics.

The more things change...the more they stay the same.

Leave Russia the fuck alone!

The events since Georgia's ill fated invasion of South Ossetia have continued to deteriorate WORLDWIDE; because of the strong will of the Russian leadership not allowing its sovereignty to be compromised, the Anglo-American oligarchy and their government lackeys are creating conditions of confrontation which hearkened back to the Cold War.

2008 is unfortunately reminding me of 1988, 1978, 1968...

This is not good news for those who support life here on this wonderful planet.

We the people must demand a sane policy from our leadership or we may not exist anymore.

Goodbye!

Keep her in your thoughts

PRAY for Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones who was stricken for by a brain aneurysm while driving her car in Cleveland Heights...

Tragically this was the second Clinton superdelegate to fall in the past 2 weeks.

Let us pray for her and her family.

Georgia on my mind...

Yes indeed, I do have Georgia on my mind; not the 'Georgia' sung about in that ol' classic by Gorrell and Carmichael; made popular by the great, Ray Charles.
But the "new" nation of Georgia; this former Soviet Republic is now in the grips of a international conflict with the Federation of Russia. These one time compatriots are another front in continued world wide warfare that has the potential of exacerbating into another World War.

But the destruction of Russia has perpetually been a goal of the international elite.

Unfortunately for those whom are lovers of peace and prosperity, the Anglo-American elites and their media lapdogs seem to be trying to flame this conflict with outright lies about the genesis of this war and whom should be held ultimately responsible. They have continued to say that it has been Russian aggression against this so called US "ally".

Georgia is no ally of the United States; it maybe one of the "War party" but not of the principles and people of these United States.

President Saakhasvili, who had signed on to a armistice in his countries ongoing conflict with South Ossesian forces then proceeded to cowardly attack, in the middle of the night of August 8, killing Russian peacekeepers.

Georgia, and her President Saakhasvili, are selfishly and stupidly being used in this contrived event to destabilize the growing non align bloc being developed between Russia, China, India and also Brazil. It is the pawn in the Geopolitics of the Anglo-American empire; encouraging warfare on the Russian border, that will weaken(if they break) any effort for her to use her variable and constant capital, in the many development projects to lift up Russia, and the large nations on her border. Possibly destroying the promise of peaceful economic and political integration of the emerging "strategic triangle", home to OVER 1/3 of the worlds population...

This second class Stalin, has spent the majority of his time as leader rounding up, beating, and silencing political dissenters; and as always, "gettin paid" with cash payments from his international friends. Hell, I guess when you are a traitorous, cowardly and overall despicable human-- he would be called "friend".

This is why these tragic events must be brought under control; a further escalation, with the insane call by "right" wing voices to add US/NATO military in support of Georgia, calls for mass suicide: unlike Iraq and Iran, Russia can hit back!

If people had anxiety and fear of an Iranian invasion, imagine the REALITY of Russian ICBM'S heading for YOUR town. As a child of the end of the cold war, I and others of my time lived with this horror everyday, especially here in Capital City.

Ugh: The more things change...the more they stay the same.

Oh, Georgia!

1,2,3...4 familiar faces with the Grateful Dead trukin' in the background.
The stories ran all night; four were on the bridge while the car blew; with Crazy Jeff getting a front row seat: flames were in my eyes.
Even the Mankato connection, Kerry and Jim(forget if Jorge or Dave were there), added to the stories, as the spliffs passed amongst the tales. Then, one by one, we each found a space on the floor. With the luckiest on the couch: a treat passed amongst the members day by day.

I remember waking after only a few hours had passed(6:30-7); Steve-who was up tinkering on jewelry- and I ventured out together and saw the world...the day after. It was an atypical morning for San Francisco; the blue skies were there but gone was the bustling metropolis; its energy drained, with large segments of the city in lock down. We toured the still vacated areas in and around center city SF. It felt like the City by the Bay had just taken a shot to the gut and was temporarily down on one knee. As we walked up the Leavenworth to Geary I thought about the faux bravado which accompanies war times, and the tough days ahead for ALL lovers of peace and justice.
George Bush I, was to top off at 89% at the end of this battle; though at that time he was 50/50 in the "polls". And instinctively I knew he was destined for a Fall. "This is going to cost Bush, he is going to loose the election", I remember saying to Steve as we climbed, finally, from O'Farrell to Geary. He just looked at me, and responded, as was to happen until election day 1992, "You think so", and then: 'I do not think so'.

But I knew, yep I did.

See, contemporary Americans are front runners; constantly caught up in "who is popular" over principle. As an activist, a grassroots door to door activist, I knew his support was weak; a manufactured "consent' based on lies, and fear. Inside the hearts of the citizens there has always been distrust and CONTEMPT for the Bush's(as is today); and lastly this "war" was an evil act contrived in the dark minds and souls of the Anglo-American oligarchy; I knew deep in my soul the god of the universe would not let it go unpunished.

Yes, 1992 was to be a year of consequences and change...
